FM AdFed has an exciting year ahead, and to make it even better, we need your time, energy and creativity!

FM AdFed committees provide excellent opportunities for you to get involved and contribute to making Fargo-Moorhead a better place, and a better place to be a professional communicator. The rewards are opportunities to showcase your talents, stronger ties with others in your field and, well, heck, a good ol’ pat on the back.

• ADDY Awards Committee – Administers the annual ADDY Awards competition by developing and conducting a professional and profitable awards show.

• Board Recruitment Committee – Recruits communication professionals to serve on the FM AdFed Board of Directors.

• Education Committee – Acts as a mentor and liaison between FM AdFed and high schools, colleges and universities. Organizes Pro-Am Day and any other programs for higher-education students. Administers scholarship program for junior or senior year advertising/ communication college students attending one of the area schools.

• Fundraising Committee – Organizes and oversees a social event to raise operating funds for FM AdFed.

• Golferoo Committee – Organizes a fun, social golf event for communication professionals, to be held in the spring of 2006.

• Membership Committee – Recruits new FM AdFed members and works to retain current members.

• Programming/Reservations Committee – Plans, organizes and executes approximately six professional development programs for FM AdFed members.

• Public Service Committee – Assists at least one local nonprofit with an advertising/marketing project and develops/participates in other community outreach programs.

• Publications/Communications Committee – Oversees the development and printing of all FM AdFed communication materials.

• Silver Medal Committee – Coordinates the selection of a winner of the prestigious Silver Medal Award and a reception for the recipient. The award will be presented in conjunction with the 49th Annual ADDY Awards ceremony on Feb. 10, 2006.
