Committee Service – We Need You!

This is an exciting year for FM AdFed, but to make it even better, we need your time, energy and creativity!

Serving on an FM AdFed committee is a great way to deepen your involvement and get more out of the experience. Our committees provide excellent opportunities for you to contribute to making Fargo-Moorhead a better place to be a professional communicator. The rewards are opportunities to showcase your talents, stronger ties with others in your field and, well, heck, a good ol’ pat on the back.

We need volunteers for the following committees:

• Publications/Communications Committee – Help oversee the communication, design, and printing of all AdFed materials. We need on-call designers, website gurus, copywriters, proofreaders, a photographer, volunteers for mailings and much more.

• ADDY Awards Committee – Help administer the annual ADDY Awards competition and conduct a professional and profitable awards show. This committee has several sub-committees.

• Scholarship/Pro-Am Committee – Plan and execute educational projects. Act as a mentor and liaison between FM AdFed and high schools, colleges and universities. Administer scholarships to junior or senior year advertising/ communication college students attending one of the area schools. Organize Pro-Am Day and any other programs for higher-education students. Recruit students and businesses to participate in Pro-Am Day. Interview and judge applicants for FM AdFed scholarships.

• Golferoo Committee – Create and put on a fun, social golf event for communication professionals. Solicit sponsorships and donations, handle event publicity and assist with registration.

• Public Service Committee – Contribute to an effort to assist a local nonprofit in brand development and marketing, and participate in community outreach.

• Fundraiser Committee – Join Co-chairs Paul Bougie and Dennis Krull in creating and pulling off an unforgettable and successful fundraiser.
